Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The inclusion of ORCID.
  • Inclusion of the summary of the biography of all authors. We do not include authors after submission.
  • Institution where the authors have a professional and/or academic academic.
  • The text is not being evaluated for publication in another journal.
  • The text does not present data and/or metadata that allow authors’ identification during the evaluation process, such as: name and institutional affiliation; project names and project coordinators; References and citations by the author(s), including in the references list; place, title or place of defense of Masters or PhD; cknowledgments; fundings, etc.
  • The inclusion of authors after the submission will not be allowed.
  • Editors do not recommend publications with more than three authors. If this occurs, in a separate document, a justification must be presented and the contribution of each of the authors to the work developed must be clarified.
  • The identification of authorship of the work was removed from the file and from the Properties option in Word (OBS 1), thus guaranteeing the confidentiality criterion of the journal.

Author Guidelines

To submit manuscripts, after registering the user, simply access the system, click on “author” and start the 5-step submission process. Manuscripts will be sent to Educar Mais Magazine only through this site.
* Manuscript submission is free and there are no fees for reviewing it.

Some important submission guidelines:

Revista Educar Mais accepts manuscripts in Portuguese in the following categories:

1. Article: synthesis of original research or critical review of a specific bibliographical subject;

2. Report: case or experience reports, of unpublished and relevant content, based on theoretical references which supports the analysis;

In the manuscript preparation (click here to download the model), the following structure must be observed:

a) Title and subtitle of the article (maximum two lines);

b) Title in English or Spanish;

c) Abstract and keywords (except for reviews): abstract must contain between 550 and 1,200 characters including spaces. Keywords, which identify the article content, must be a maximum of five (5);

d) Abstract and keywords;

e) Resumen and palabras clave;

f) Body of the text, in which there is no authoral identification;

g) Bibliographical references, according to the following guidelines.

 

The submitted texts must consider the following guidelines:

a) Times New Roman, font size 12, double-line spacing;

b) Maximum lenght of the texts:

I – 60,000 characters (including spaces) for articles;

II – 30,000 characters (including spaces) for reports;

c) A4 paper format;

d) Margins of 3 cm;

e) Numbered pages;

h) Notes must be numbered and at the end of the text;

i) Citations must follow the format (Author’s last name, year) or (Author’s last name, year, p. x). Different works of the same author, published in the same year, must be distinguished by adding a letter after the year (Author’s last name, yeara, p. xx);

j) Bibliographical references must be at the end of the text, according to ABNT guidelines (NBR 6023/2002), as it follows:

 

Books:
AUTHOR’S LAST NAME, first names in full. Book title: subtitle. Place of publication: publishing house, year of publication.

Book chapters:

AUTHOR’S LAST NAME, first names in full. Book title. Edition. Place of publication: publishing house, year of publication.

 

Journals:
AUTHOR’S LAST NAME, first names in full. Article title: subtitle. Journal title, place of publication, volume, issue, first and last page of the article, month and year of publication.

Monographies, theses and dissertations:


AUTHOR’S LAST NAME, first names in full. Title: subtitle. Place of the course (city): university (short name), year of publication. Monography, Dissertation or Theses, name of college, center or institute, name of university in full, year of conclusion.

Electronic documents:

AUTHOR’S LAST NAME, first names in full. Title. Available at: Accessed on: day month (short name) year.

NOTE: In order to detect possible plagiarism, all manuscripts submitted to Revista Educar Mais are analyzed by CopySpider © anti-plagiarism software. If a plagiarism incident is suspected, the evaluation process is interrupted and the authors will be asked to provide clarifications.

Articles

The following articles will be evaluated:
1) Research (i.e., with a well-defined research question, with theoretical/methodological basis and references to related studies);
2) Literature review in a certain area of ​​research in Teaching or Education, over a period of no less than 5 years, covering the main journals in the area at national and international level. Review articles must present a theoretical framework appropriate to the type of review performed (whether systematic, narrative, integrative, etc.) and include a theoretical basis that explains the methods of data analysis.
3) Theoretical basis with clear implications for research in Teaching or Education, involving references not yet widely disseminated in the area;
4) Methodology of educational research with direct relevance to research in Teaching and Education;
5) Pedagogical Experiences (Educational Products) associated with research.

Pedagogical Experiences

Pedagogical experiences linked to research, such as reports on the application of educational products in the context of lato sensu postgraduate programs.
